Holly has partnered with hundreds of clients since 1992 to help make their financial goals realities. Her clients, in turn, have helped her build her business primarily through referrals. Because she is fee-based, Holly’s cost of doing business is transparent and her recommendations are truly honest. Holly, a Traverse City native, holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central Michigan University and worked for two Fortune 500 companies before opening her own firm in 1999. She has served clients in financial planning for more than 25 years. She lives on a 100-acre farm with her husband, Doug, and their children, Madison and Douglas.
Claudia Rodriguez, MBA, AAMS® CRPS®

Claudia has over 20 years of finance experience and helps clients to organize, build, protect, and transfer their wealth while being mindful of tax efficiencies, not just today, but in retirement. She does this by first determining their goals and priorities and then creating a tailored portfolio aligned to each one of those goals. We all know that life happens, and goals can change, so we continue to partner with you to work through these events. Additionally, she regularly collaborates with your certified public accountants, attorneys, and other trusted professionals. Her past work experience in commercial and residential lending, along with acting as a controller for a money management firm for 15 years, has given her vast experience, in addition to five years as a financial advisor.
She is proud to serve a variety of clients with wide-ranging goals, regularly working with families on retirement strategies, college savings, and properly protecting their loved ones, as well as business owners and their unique financial goals. No matter their current situations, her clients are assured that she will work tirelessly for them.
She finds it incredibly rewarding to share in people’s milestones and life transitions; some are joy-filled and others more difficult. She will be there to help you navigate all life’s events. Her heart's passion is to educate young adults to start financial strategies early and empower women to take control of and understand their finances.
Claudia grew up in Suttons Bay and now resides in Traverse City with her husband, Brian. She holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Davenport University. Claudia was able to continue being in the learning environment as an adjunct instructor for Davenport University, teaching graduate- and undergraduate-level finance classes. Both of her children will graduate in December 2021. Zach will be graduating from Michigan Tech with an electrical engineering degree, and Cali will be graduating from Northwood University with a finance degree.
Kelly Town, FPQP™
Director of Client Services and Operations
Kelly’s strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently make her a natural fit for the Horizon Financial team. She has firsthand experience in fulfilling the needs of clients and small business owners through extensive involvement within her family's businesses. Kelly serves as the head of office operations, ensuring that the daily operational needs of our practice are running smoothly.
Kelly is a graduate of Liberty University with a degree in business administration–finance. She was raised in Traverse City. Kelly’s favorite activity is spending time with her husband and dog on the beautiful Northern Michigan lakes boating and waterskiing.
Having joined us in February 2021, Cassandra (Casee) brings extensive experience in building and creating strong relationships to Horizon’s growing team. Coming from the health care staffing world, Casee carries a vast wealth of knowledge in working with C-suite clients, as well as a passion for building the ultimate client experience. She will be helping the team to achieve our service commitments and goals by being a positive influence and promoting efficient outcomes.
She is always ready for a challenge or new learning experience both personally and professionally. In her free time, she loves exploring new Northern Michigan beaches and trails with her dog, spending time with family, and cooking.
